Earlier this month, Rock Springs Community Church held a couple's Christmas event. I was invited to photograph the couples. My husband and I had a great time working on these together. You'll see more Thursday and Friday of this week.

Pastor Al Strauss

This summer, the United Methodist Church in Cortez got a new pastor. Pastor Al and his family have been a wonderful addition to the church. We even became members since they moved here.

Meg

Sometimes when you get back your school pictures, your kids aren't too excited about the result. Normal school pictures are done so quickly, most likely with just one shutter click, that you just hope you get something okay.
When I photographed the preschool at the Methodist church, one of the parents brought their older child to "redo" their portrait. Once Meg's portrait was delivered, this was the response I received via e-mail:
"Thank you so much for the great pictures of Meg and Isaac! I am so pleased! Meg was super excited, too - especially because she always hates her pictures." They even decided to order a few more! P.S. Isaac is the boy in the December 18th post.

Brothers

This has been such a busy two months, that I'm finally getting sessions that were done in December up on the blog. Ryan and Ty's mom, Heather, call wanting to photograph the boys together to put in their Christmas cards. Like most moms of little boys, she had a horror story of their last trip to the photographer. I did my best to allay her worries. During the session, the boys really had a great time. Even though Ty didn't want to get too far from mom. You probably wouldn't guess that she's holding his hand in a few of these portraits.
During her viewing she said these were ABSOLUTELY what she wanted. So much so, she couldn't narrow it down to two. She ended up ordering this beautiful composite that really shows the boys' personalities.

Eytchison Family

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, I only took on one family portrait session. (Since I was hosting Thanksgiving at our home) While I only had one portrait appointment, we did a variety of groups. Today we will take a look at the Eytchison family. Tomorrow it will be Wendy's sister's family, then the grandparents and then a few great images of the cousins together. Family is such a wonderful thing.
