Josh - Part 1

Sorry to miss the last couple days of blogging. This pregnancy is throwing my schedule off a bit.
Today I have Josh's senior portraits...or at least a couple of them. Just last month I photographed his grandparents at the Rock Springs couples' event. They were so pleased with their portraits that they asked me to do Josh's portraits. Josh and I had a lot of laughs and pretty much froze. It was so cold that Monday. I should have a few more of Josh tomorrow and the first of next week. (His grandparents decided to order a coffee table book with 10 different images.)
By the way, look at those amazing blue eyes in the top portrait! WOW!

Arthur - Part 3

This portrait is entitled, "One Man Team". Arthur has been playing basketball for a good part of his life, and what better way to commemorate his senior year by creating this original portrait (in poster format) to remember all the good times on the court.
Just in case you didn't catch it, not only is Arthur at the front of the poster, those are all him behind playing b-ball. Fun stuff!

Arthur - Part 2 (Yesterday's Post)

Here are a couple more of Arthur. His mom was especially excited about the one of him laughing. That's her boy!
Later this afternoon, there will be one more Arthur post...the one I've been teasing the last few days.

Arthur - Part 1

Arthur is a great senior from Dolores High School. When we started planning his senior session, he told me he wanted something in the snow. Well, two weeks ago, he got his wish. We actually did his portraits while it was snowing.
Tomorrow we will have a few more of Arthur. Don't forget to check back on Friday for something completely different in senior portraits in this area.

Seniors 2008

This year I had a great time photographing seniors. I've meet some really great students who are going to be doing lots of great things with their lives. This week I will have some portraits of Arthur, a senior at Dolores High School. There will be some more traditional portraits Wednesday and Thursday of this week, but definitely come back on Friday because he has a portrat that is SO different from everyone else. It's awesome.
After a little break, I'm back on blogging every weekday. I hope you enjoy!

Plan Ahead in 2008

So the Crowley's have exciting news. Baby #2 will be arriving in July, but what does that mean for my clients? I will be taking off for 3 1/2 months (July 15th through November 1...barring any issues). If you have been thinking about updating your family portrait or photograph your children, let's get it on the calendar! Snow portraits, spring portraits and back in time for Christmas portraits.

Vacation

This post isn't about my vacation, this post is about Jay's vacation. Jay and his wife are scuba divers and sent me some of their images from trips in 2007 to put together in an interesting way. I had a lot of fun putting together this collage for them. Sure makes me want to go to the ocean!

Post Holiday Reorders

I want to take a moment and thank all my clients of 2007. This last year was amazing, and I know I am in the right profession. I hope the portraits that I created for all of you have brought smiles and sometimes tears of joy to your faces. It was a real blessing working for all of you this last year.
This is also a great time to place any reorders on the portraits taken in 2007. Want to get something larger for your home? Maybe forgot a Christmas gift for an aunt? Feel free to contact me at 970.565.4178 to place a reorder.
Best wishes in the new year, and I look forward to helping capture the beautiful moments of 2008!

Sisters

I took a couple weeks off around the Christmas holiday, and now I don't have a ton to blog about. However, while back in Oklahoma, my dad updated our "sisters" portrait. I am so happy that my middle sister has moved here to Cortez, and hope that I can convince my youngest sister to move here when she graduates from college. (She also love photography and might want to be my wedding photographer...we'll see!)
Of course, thanks to my dad, Wess Gray, for this beautiful portrait. So the question I ask you, do we all look alike?

Happy New Year

I hope everyone had a safe New Year's Eve. And that we all have wonderful things to look forward to in 2008. I'll be taking a bloggin' break the remainder of this week.
