Tuesday was preschool day at the park here in Cortez. Gabriel and I really had a great time with all the other kiddos. Here are just a few pictures from the day.

Home and Garden Show

Thanks to everyone who stopped by my booth this weekend at the Four Corner's Home and Garden Show. I really had a great time and it was wonderful to get to catch up with some clients I hadn't seen in a while. That is probably the biggest downside to not having a studio location. There isn't a place for people to just drop in and say 'Hi!" So I really appreciate all the folks who came by.
Have a great week!

Cortez Home and Garden Show

Join me this weekend at the Montezuma County Fairgrounds for this year's Four Corner's Home and Garden Show. There will be over 100 booths this year! It should be a great show.
Be sure to stop by my booth to register to win a complimentary sitting to be used before I go on maternity leave. Last year, I won the best of home booth, let's see if I can do it again this year with more beautiful portraiture!
See you there!

No More 303 number

For all those who have been contacting me via the 303 cell phone number, please feel free to call 970.565.4178. Chris and I love Cortez so much that we have let our Denver cell phone number go.
Have a wonderful week everyone!

Support Your Local Athletes

Students involved in extra-curricular activities really deserve our support. Just the other day, I watched the M-CHS boys tennis team practice. These guys really work hard.
Keep an eye on the Cortez Journal for dates to support all our local students.

Camping anyone?

The fire ban was lifted on Cortez yesterday. Hasn't all this rain been wonderful? It's saving us money since we don't have to water our lawn anymore. Yeah!
I think a weekend of camping with cooking out sounds like a lot of fun to me. We'll see if that pans out.

Bowling in Cortez

This last weekend, we (Chris, Glenn, Michael and I) all went bowling. We had a great time. The Cortez bowling alley is nice and the people who work there are very friendly. Michael is a great bowler. We had fun all ganging up on him. We spotted him 50 pins and he could outscore the three of us put together. Pretty sad on our part!
This pic was just for fun. I didn't spend as much time as I should have putting it together, but it's neat to see what we can do now with that amazing tool Photoshop!

Mesa Verde

There are many amazing and beautiful things here in the four corners area. One of the most famous would be Mesa Verde National Park. Gabriel and I went to Mesa Verde yesterday with our cousins (the bunny finders). We had a wonderful time checking out the area. Got in a great hike and enjoyed nature. If you are out in this area and have never been, I highly suggest taking the morning to see these amazing Native American ruins.

Cortez Journal Takes To the Web

Ever wonder what is going on in Cortez and don't take the paper? This week, the Cortez Journal released their e-journal. Visit www.cortezjournal.com and click on the link e-journal. This will allow you to read the full paper online! It's a great way to keep up with things or to refer back to a story you might have read in the actual paper. This is a great idea!
The more I learn about this little town, the more I see that it isn't a little country place, but a great place with lots to offer. I love Cortez!
